She rode from the leaves
For the shadows were deeper,
Light…dark…
…and matter…

I'm not the most interesting man in the world, but I might have the most cluttered mind.
Wow. There’s nothing quite like cantering through a crunchy field in October. There is an exhilirating quality in the mix of a landscape getting ready for rest, late rays of sunshine, shadows and cool air. My favorite time of year to ride. This post brings it all back for me. Thank you.
My wife rode. I photographed and contemplated. (And walked one of our dogs, but sorry, didn’t get a decent picture of her)
Three of my most favorite things–a horse, a Miata, and fall color!
Too bad the horse is attached to my wife. 😛
That’s OK, I’ve got my own 🙂 –rode him today in the glorious sunshine after a week of rain. Also got a 1991 red Miata, a little tattered around the edges now. Oh yeah, and plenty of fall color, at least this year. Last year was kind of disappointing, but Michigan trees have outdone themselves this time around.
Great color year in New England and the Miata is a brand new one!
Oh, and the problem with the horse being attached to my wife is not that I want it attached to me–anything but. The problem is having to pay for it!
