I liked the globe and all the eliptical connections, very clever!
However I have a few thoughts on the list of 15 questions. The list is a bit cringe worthy. The way the “challenges” are stated as questions implies that there is an expected answer. My mother employed this method to get me to do the dishes, “Would you like to do the dishes now?” Why don’t “they” say what “they” think is required under these HEADINGS or is the challenge NOT to sound like an elite bunch of world builders?
I think if they changed the “Status of Women” to “equity between the sexes” it would sound like there were a few women making up this list. “11. How can the changing status of women help improve the human condition?” -Making it better or worse? There is no mention of equity, or improvement so is it implied that the “human” condition is dependant on one sex being lower or higher in status?
(I must say, there is a lot of great fodder for some speculative fiction here, thanks!)
Hmm. All pretty good points, Rio. If I had seen these comments before the interview, I might have asked him about those things.
