“Women marry men hoping they will change. Men marry women hoping they will not. So each is inevitably disappointed.”– Albert Einstein
Hmmm. Ol’ Albert may have known more about everyday life then he is commonly given credit for. After 34-years, my wife still hasn’t learned this lesson. She is still trying to change me. I keep telling her to leave me alone as I am a finished product; I couldn’t possibly get any worse.
I wish I could say I have a cluttered mind. When I was young I had such a good memory, three years ago it hit me, suddenly I cannot remember a thing from one moment to the next which makes me lose confidence in myself.
Do not despair, it happens to all of us. We misplace things in our head as we get older precisely because of accumulating clutter, not the lack of it! One moment I am recalling a detailed memory from 50 or more years ago, the next moment I can’t remember the name of somebody I was dealing with in business last week. And let’s not even start on remembering where I left my keys…
Feeling much better, now that I know I am not alone and there might be some clutter left in my head.
Do you think that there’s finite memory space in our brains? And if it gets cluttered enough, memories will be forgotten to make room for more?
It depends how good your filing system is!!! I watched a Stephen King movie the other day, which was a bit B grade but you would love the way exactly this is discussed! http://www.stephenking.com/library/movie/dreamcatcher.html. You should watch it and set this amazing concept up in your head! Jen
I’ll look out for it! 🙂
for me this proves Einstein’s genius more than any other discovery of his 🙂
I recently stumbled over some of Albert’s quote too. I was taken aback by his life wisdom!
Hahahaha! that is too funny!
